Gold's is Kicking my Butt

About a month ago I joined the Gold's Gym about 5 minutes from my house, and for the first 2 weeks I could never get my butt off the couch to go, I've quit facebook, and now I'm back to a better schedule of studying for my IBLCE exam, gym, sleep and my 1800kcal/day diet.

Last night I took Water in Motion class (aka water aerobics, then swam for 30 more minutes), I used to swim year round when I was younger and I found the joy I have for swimming again, and lots of encouragement from my friend Julie. Then I hit the hot tub and sauna. I even made a few friends in the sauna which was a lot of fun, if my Momma did anything right, she raised my to be able to make friends and talk to anyone. These two ladies are in the best shape (esp. better than me) and now I'm going to classes with them, and they are fluent in Spanish, so lots of encouragement again to keep learning. I'm definatly in a good place right now, except for two things that have been taunting me in my personal life, I don't know if I'll get the courage to confront these two people but time will only tell. I'm just to happy to deal with it, so I'm putting them away in my filing cabinet.

Tonight I took the body combat class- phew did it kick ass. I LOVE Les Milles fitness programs, and I'm so happy they have them at Gold's. I love karate, tae kwon bo, tai chi, and what ever else. I'm downing water and stretching because I know work will be super busy tomorrow (and it's so much easier to take the stairs in a hospital than a busy elevator). Yoga isn't my favorite thing in the world but I'm looking forward to a good class tomorrow--I need to be more flexible.

Prost (cheers in German, courtesy of Oma),

Rachel
