Spring in Colorado: it's only the beginning

Not too long ago I was in Colorado for numerous celebrations, we left May 12, to celebrate Karin's graduation with her Doctorate in Neuroscience/Toxicology. My birth day was May 11, and my brother's was May 13 (same day as Karin graduated).

We flew into Denver, late thursday making it just in time to spend dinner with my parents and long lost brother, Neal (nah, we just don't get to see each other a lot).

To show us a good time in Denver--Neal takes us to "a dark burger bar" AKA My Brother's Bar, the oldest in the city.It has a tasty quite greasy lovable menu that keeps locals begging for more. The low key menu and great beer selections is why it seems to be so popular. Our adventure quickly ended when it was time to go set up camp in Neal's basement, luckily there was a bed for Michael and I, parents and all. I love bungalows, especially one with a hot tub!

Friday morning Karin had decided to host brunch for friends and family at her home. She made a lovely assortment of quiches, very creative table layout, fresh flowers, and salad.

All together to join in her graduation festivities, came her parents, older brother-his wife and 6month old, and Oma and Opa (what beautiful, lovely people). Then of course it was just my husband, brother and parents.

The best thing about the quiches is that Karin and Neal have range free, organic eggs, from their three hens: Ginger, Phoebe, and Cher. Michael and I had a lot of fun, chasing and trying to catch them.

Best of all it was very rewarding getting to collect three eggs that morning.
