Weekend Love

For the first 7 months of marriage most of our friends were still in grad school or had moved out of state, so it was just Mr. B and I for a long time, which there are no complaints but it is nice to have girl time or friends over once in a while. Now that everyone has moved back or have free time to come visit during summer...it's been wonderful having the company, we are both enjoying it.

This past weekend friends came to town from PA and Roanoke, VA. Saturday I was supposed to have a wonderful brunch but there was zilch of a turn out so we all just decided to enjoy a fun outing at a winery in Leesburg. Both Jessica and Justin enjoy wineries on the weekends in PA so it's great to have company, who love doing the same thing we do by exploring new things. And our dear friend Sam came too (we know Sam and Justin from back in the day...HS). We went to South Side Under Deli to get some sandwiches then headed off to Dry Mill Winery. It was their 2 year anniversary and we got to enjoy a free tasting (which doesn't come so often now a days), music and good company over a bottle of wine.

We then went back to Sam's house on Cox's Farms. Me being the animal lover or some may comment as "Freak" but hand in hand it's all the same, Sam took me and Ashley on our own tour of their "livestock." Ashley was more voted to go by me :) The things she'll do for her friends. First the Alpaca's are adorable, they have about 60 goats (Sam swears there is only 2 males in the pin), Emu's look like devil birds with their red eyes (and they will drop kick you if you get to close), Then they have bunnies, and Angora goats that are separate from the others, and they look like sheep.

Sam's boss's have a lovely pool that made me feel as if I was in paradise, while the guys grilled us ladies got to chat by the pool (of course not only do I love animals but second in life I love swimming and any body of water). Then Sam and Justin joined in the fun, esp. swimming races.

Below is my best friend and of course my maid of honor, at Bobby' McKey's in National Harbor, I love dueling piano bars, especially with 6 of your closets' friends that you never get to see.

All in all it was a lovely fun filled weekend, Cheers!
