This is Briar Patch B&B, best wedding venue ever!
I love that I have pictures of my maternal Grandmother (Maxine) helping my mom and maid of honor (Ashley) get me ready.
I love these next two pictures, I was in the cottage (where we spent our "first night") and I could see the main house from this window, the sky was bright blue and the groomsmen were scurry with the camera man, and no one could see me in the window...
Our photographers were wonderful (a married couple, Jewish, and he is the official white house photographer! perfect) She was with me in the morning and loved, just loved my surprise of green underneath my white gown!
The story behind my Cameo, is that my beloved late grandmother (paternal) died right after I told her we were engaged, it seemed as if she was holding on for it or something. After she passed she had beautiful historical cameo's that were in her family and I would have loved to have one to pass down to my daughter. But they had been passed fairly to another family member. So my dear mom had gone and found one in an antique store for me (which is nice to know there is hopefully plenty of history behind it) and I can then make it my own.
It's great being married to your high school sweet heart since all of his bests friends are mine and mine are his. Mr. B's best men consisted of two of our friends from high school, my brother, and a friend growing up, his best man was his brother.
I love this picture with my parents, my mom had the most beautiful dress on that day, and of course my dad looked so handsome in a tux.
In a Jewish wedding you meet before the wedding to sign the marriage license (aka the ketubah) so we thought it would be even more wonderful to meet for the first time by ourselves, it was very romantic.
