Spring In Colorado: Boulder

This is a continuation of my other posts of our vacation in Colorado (in May). I'm so glad Mr. B got to see the beautiful town of Boulder. I've only driven through it in the past. Karin my brother's girlfriend went there for her undergrad. The Univ. of Colorado is gorgeous (the buildings are all done in stone and terra cotta roofing).

Our first stop was to go to the Tajikistan Dushanbe Tea House (which is amazing). They have a tea bar, and some of the tables are set up to lounge at. The food was very middle eastern ethnic. I got muscles in white sauce, and they are fresh daily (shipped over night).

this is my favorite photo, the artwork is so intricate, you can read more about the Boulder tea house and you will definatly want to make it a destination on your next trip to Colorado

This is me and my parents

But besides the tea house, just a quick block away is their town center. Which reminds me a lot of the town center in Princeton, NJ. With it's park like atmosphere, there were boulders set up for kids to play on, to walk through (made for a good picture backdrop), musicians, the shops were fun to venture into (with a good variety), and there were plenty of restaurants to choose from. This is someplace that is definatly on my top 10 favorites I want to go back to.

After shopping we went for the real adventure in hiking the Flat Irons

Our last adventure in Boulder was going to the Celestial Seasonings Factory, we took the tour, the best part is getting to go into their "Mint" room. They have to keep the mint tea leaves sealed off or else the scent is so strong in will seep into the other leaves.

of course they had a gift shop with every type of tea photo on mugs, hand towels, t-shirts, and more

It's a free tour, and at the end you get to try as many of their teas as you'd like. For me I really enjoy Teavana tea or loose tea's. It's just something about their flavoring doesn't seem as high quality.
