Spring in Colorado: Estes Park

Our next stop was Estes Park for 3 days, my dad rented a 2 bedroom loft in town, that had jacuzzi's (which is ideal after a long day of hiking).

Day 1 we had beautiful weather, a bit chilly, and there were Elk everywhere! We had a lot of fun taking pictures of them in town and in the park. By Day 2 snow had settled in, which was amazing to us how in Breckenridge we were at a higher elevation with warmer beautiful weather than in Estes Park.

Even though it was cold and snowing for most of our trip here, we still managed to have a great time. We filled out days with hiking (good thing we packed for warm and cold weather), horse backriding, riding up to the road closure (since up at the pass in Rocky Mtn Nat'l Park it was at 23 feet of snow), learning about bear encounters, touring the park for wildlife, and going to all 3 visitor centers.
